Quality Technical Services is hiring a Technical Manager to lead and strengthen our laboratory operations in Abu Dhabi. This role is critical in ensuring technical excellence, compliance with international standards, and continuous improvement across calibration, quality systems, and reporting functions.
As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing ISO/IEC 17025 documentation, laboratory QA QC processes, internal audits, and technical compliance while supporting operational teams and management with expert guidance.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage ISO/IEC 17025 documentation, implementation, and ongoing compliance across laboratory operations
• Ensure adherence to ISO 17025, ISO 9001, ASTM, and BS standards in all technical and quality processes
• Oversee laboratory QA/QC activities, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and consistency in calibration and testing results
• Review, validate, and approve calibration reports, uncertainty calculations, and technical documentation
• Conduct internal audits and coordinate corrective and preventive actions to maintain accreditation requirements
• Supervise calibration activities, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with approved procedures
• Develop, review, and update standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality manuals
• Support external audits, accreditation assessments, and client technical evaluations
• Provide technical leadership, training, and mentorship to engineering and laboratory teams
• Ensure effective communication with clients, auditors, and internal stakeholders regarding technical matters
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
What We Are Looking For
• 5+ years ISO/IEC 17025 Technical and Documentation experience
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 17025, ISO 9001, ASTM, and BS standards
• Proven expertise in laboratory QA/QC, calibration processes, and technical reporting
• Preferably with ENAS / EIAC accreditation scheme experience
• Hands-on experience in internal audits, uncertainty calculations, and compliance management
• Bachelor’s in Instrumentation engineering or related field
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and leadership capability
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• UAE or GCC experience is preferred
